Guidance

School counselors work with students on academics, career plans, testing information, college selection, and personal concerns. Counselors also act as resource personnel for parents, students, teachers, the Youth Study Team, I&RS Team, and the Administration.  Parents who have a concern about their student should contact the individual counselor.

Students can make appointments to see their counselor by stopping in the Guidance Office before first block or between classes.  Mrs. Haughwout will schedule the appointments and students will receive passes in their first clock class the following day.

In addition to working with individual students, the Guidance department facilitates a variety of support groups.  The department also sponsors a number of special events throughout the school year.
