» Students must maintain a 93 cumulative average with no more than one "C" and no "D" or "F" grades. Students must also not have a discipline record.
» If a student falls below these academic standards they will be placed on probation for one marking period. At the completion of the probationary period the student's grades will be re-evaluated. If the student has not regained good academic standing he or she will be removed from NHS.
» Any member committing a gross violation of the NHS pillars of character, service, leadership, and scholarship, including disciplinary violations or breaches of character, will be placed on probation or removed from NHS, at the discretion of the faculty council.
» Students who are placed on probation for non-academic reasons (e.g. breaches in character) will need to complete some form of service at the end of their probationary period.
• For example, students who are placed on probation for plagiarism must prepare a presentation on the dangers and immorality of plagiarism, and deliver the presentation to a cooperating class at their sending school of choice (Magnolia, Parkview, Laurel Springs, Yellin, or other approved school).

• If a student does not complete the service requirement, he or she will be removed from NHS.
