As we close another incredible year at Sterling High School, I want to take a moment to thank our entire school community; students, staff, families, and community partners for making this year such a success.
Throughout the year, we saw what it truly means to be U-Knighted. Whether in the classroom, on the field, on the stage, or in service to others, our students and staff consistently demonstrated commitment, resilience, and pride in being Silver Knights.
Summer is an important time to recharge, reflect, and reconnect. I encourage our students to take time to relax, spend time with family and friends, and continue to grow—whether that’s through reading, working, training, or simply enjoying new experiences. These moments matter, and they help prepare us for another strong year ahead.
This summer, we are also excited to launch our One Book, One School initiative, where we will come together as a community to read The Other Wes Moore. This shared experience will help unify our passion for reading while reinforcing our theme for the 2026–2027 school year: Choices Matter. We look forward to engaging in meaningful conversations that connect our reading to our lives and our growth as individuals and as a school community.
As always, our work at Sterling continues over the summer months. You may notice ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and improvements across our campus. For the safety of all guests, we kindly ask that anyone visiting campus remain mindful of designated work zones and posted signage.
Behind the scenes, our faculty and staff are already preparing for the upcoming school year building on our strengths, enhancing programs, and continuing our focus on student achievement, wellness, and opportunity for all.
We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall as we continue our U-Knighted vision, together.
