Principal’s Message
Dear Sterling Parents and Guardians:
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. We look forward to meeting you on campus and serving your students in a year celebrating the high school experience. One of our goals as a school community is to celebrate high school as we partner with students to create new traditions and memories. The opening week of school will be filled with activities to inspire students and staff to be active participants in the opportunities only available during high school.
Throughout the school year, we will continue to prioritize our commitment to equity as we provide professional development to staff and conduct student orientation experiences where courageous conversations are celebrated. Furthermore, we have increased our awareness on mental health and will work with our mental health committee to establish after school activities that support student interests and contribute to mental wellness.
The next opportunity to be on campus will be at one of our student athletic events or practices which will begin full sessions the week of August 22. The first student school day is September 6th which will be the first of a full week of student half day bell schedules. Please review the 2022-2023 school calendar located on the school website. We will then welcome parents and guardians to our Back to School Night on September 13th.
This fall we welcome new staff members in Vocal Music, Graphic Arts, and to our Paraprofessional staff. We will introduce these individuals later this summer via email and video blast. Please be sure to view the Castle Connection videos that are sent home throughout the school year. Additionally, we are launching a Sterling HS Facebook account. This will be an additional tool for the school to share important information and student recognition.
U-Knighted!
