Welcome to Sterling High School
Dear Sterling Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! We are excited to welcome you back to campus and look forward to serving your students throughout the year. One of our ongoing goals as a school community is to celebrate the high school experience while partnering with students to create lasting traditions and memories.
This school year continues our journey with the new academic schedule launched last year, inspired by our U-Knighted Vision Strategic Plan. Our students and staff will follow the a.m. and p.m. wheel schedule, participating in six of eight full-year classes each day over a four-day cycle. As a community, we will continue to grow into this rhythm and embrace the benefits it brings.
The Knightime period—located in the middle of the day around lunch—remains a unique opportunity for students to explore activities of their choice. This open-campus model offers freedoms and flexibility never before experienced within the walls of The Castle. More information about the academic schedule is available on our website under the Student tab.
We invite you to join us on campus for our upcoming student athletic events and practices, which begin in full the third full week of August. The first student day of school is September 2nd, kicking off with a full week of half-day bell schedules. Please review the 2025–2026 school calendar on our website and reminder of the updated student start time of 7:40 a.m., with an entrance bell at 7:35 a.m. We also look forward to seeing you at Back to School Night on September 9th.
This fall, we are proud to welcome new staff members in English and among our Paraprofessionals. We will introduce these team members later this summer via email and video. Be sure to watch our Castle Connection videos throughout the year and follow our Sterling HS Facebook page for updates, important announcements, and student celebrations.
We are looking forward to another incredible year—thank you for your continued partnership and support.
U-Knighted!
